ABOUT NICOLE

Nicole Strafaci is a certified TRE® provider and visual / performance artist based in Frenchtown, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in New Jersey, Nicole moved to southern California where she worked and lived as a professional artist until 2014. In California, she spent time at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, which is formative to her personal and professional development. This encouraged deeper connections between embodiment and creativity. She has always been a curious student of life and has explored other modalities in her personal healing journey such as Acupuncture, EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Massage Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, and Myofascial Release. Strafaci has additional training in Ericksonian Hypnosis and Reike. She is passionate about creative exploration, self expression, and self empowerment. Nicole is at her best when connecting individuals to their instinctual natures through TRE, embodiment, and creativity.
MY TRE® JOURNEY
I was introduced to and fell in love with TRE® in early 2023 and noticed a profound shift immediately. My first experience was quite intense and many emotions came to the surface. As I became more familiar and attuned with the process, I began to practice TRE® several times a week and then everyday. It is no exaggeration to say that TRE® has changed my life and dramatically improved a chronic insomnia issue. Anxiety levels have decreased and I no longer feel stuck in fight/flight response. My relationships have improved tremendously as well as my general sense of wellbeing and health. I knew from the start that I wanted to help others by sharing this powerful and revitalizing practice. I trained and became a certified TRE® provider in 2024.
Drawing Meditations
Beginning January 1, 2025, I have made at least one drawing per day in a small Moleskine sketchbook. My life as a TRE® provider and artist has transformed with this practice. My work with TRE has strengthened and blossomed from this daily work. Art has evolved beyond personal expression and now serves as a daily meditation. Everyday I carve out time for a deeply creative flow state. Drawing is about observance and presence. The hand-eye coordination inherent to drawing yields a mindful approach. Here you will find an assortment of entries in no particular order. Like any daily practice, some days feel more inspired than others. It is the return to the page day after day that allows for the growth and flow of these works. From figures to portraits to abstract imagery and from color to black and white; this is the process. Hope you enjoy these drawing meditations and may they inspire you to deepen or create a daily practice of your own.
